My brother and sister-in-law have decided to use cloth diapers for their soon-to-be baby girl. I thought that since I do a lot of sewing (and am fairly good at it) I could help them out. I've done underwear and clothes for adults before, but this is a bit of a new challenge for me.

I'm mostly interested on what types of material to use and where the best places to get them are, but any information (including patterns or suggestions on how to make these not suck) would also be good.
